The Best way to Make a Glitter Wall
The best way to make a glitter wall

Glitter walls are growing in popularity and can look stunning in the right place. There are a few ways to make a glitter wall, and as a professional decorator, I’ve done almost all of them. Some work better than others, but most of the time it depends on the effect you want to achieve.
In this blog, I’m going to walk you through the four glitter wall options, share a few photos with you, and give you some useful links. I will keep everything simple and honest. Hopefully you will find it useful in deciding the best way to build a glitter wall.
Glitter wallpapers can be very dramatic and will look amazing in the right place !! You can basically have a large block of glitter “in your face” that spans an entire wall. Light pink paper with lots of sheen looks dramatic in a little girl’s bedroom, but this type of paper looks great in all kinds of spaces. If that’s what you want, it might be worth checking out the Glitter Bug paper which will give you the dramatic effect you want. Installing glitter bug paper requires a skilled pair of hands and can be tricky. Be careful not to get any paste on the decreed side of the paper as it will not be easy to wipe off. Better yet, ask a decorator to install it for you. Glitter Bug is basically glitter on a heavy fabric. You apply it to the wall, overlap and splice it. Joints can sometimes show up too. There are other brands of glitter wallpaper that are “butt joints”. Again, it can be difficult to find the right one. Muraspec is a great quality brand.
