We thought it would be helpful to explain how we are tiering our latest education news and how you can get involved and how to read the latest daily continuing education news and how we structure our FE week content:
Our main features are exclusive and are thought leadership articles and blue sky thinking with experts writing peer-to-peer news articles on the future of education and work. The focus is on solution-oriented thought leadership, the exchange of best practices, innovation and new strategies. These are often articles about the future of education and the future of work, they then often create news articles about the future of education. We limit our main features to a maximum of 20 per week, as they are often about new concepts and new thinking processes. Our main features also include exclusive articles covering the latest education news, maybe an expert insight into a political announcement, or a response to an education think tank report or whitepaper.
FE Voices was originally set up as a section for FE News to give the sector a voice. Since we now have over 3,000 newsrooms and contributors, FE Voices are usually thought leadership articles, they don’t necessarily have to be exclusive, but usually they are, they are a little shorter than Main Features. FE Voices may have more mixed media with the educational news articles, such as embedded podcasts and videos. Our Sector Response articles, asking for different comments and opinions on education policy announcements or responses to a report on a whitepaper, can usually be found in the FE Voices section. If we have a live podcast one evening or a radio show like the SkillsWorldLive radio show, the next morning we put the FE podcast recording in the FE voices section.
In industry news, we have a mix of press releases, educational resources, reports, educational research, and white papers from a number of contributors. We have lots of positive educational news from colleges, contracting agencies and training providers, press releases from DfE to think tanks that review a report, to helpful resources to help you provide educational strategies for your learners and students.
We have a range of educational podcasts on FE News, from hour-long FE full-production podcasts like SkillsWorldLive in partnership with the Federation of Awarding Bodies, to weekly podcasts from experts and thought leaders who provide advice and guidance to executives. FE News also records podcasts at conferences and events, and provides one-on-one podcasts with education and skills experts on the latest strategies and developments.
