Motorcyclist sadly dies after crash with van

A man in his fifties sadly died in an accident near Market Rasen.

The fatal collision involved a white Triumph motorcycle and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

It happened on the B1225, about 200 meters south of the junction with the A631, on Tuesday, March 30th, around 11:24 a.m.

The motorcyclist from the Scunthorpe area was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for some time while emergency services visited the scene. It reopened around 6:30 p.m.

Lincolnshire Police have requested witnesses and people with dashcam footage to provide information.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing to witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Ludford.

“If you saw the collision or if you have any dashcam footage, please contact us as you may be able to help with our investigation.
