The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in Lincolnshire this weekend.

A yellow weather warning applies from Saturday, July 24th, midnight to Sunday evening at 11:59 p.m.

This alert is the lowest alert level used by the Met Office to warn of extreme weather conditions.

On the Met Office website, the warning states: “Heavy rain and thunderstorms can cause flooding and traffic disruptions in some locations over the weekend.”

Weather experts added that there is a slim chance homes and businesses will be flooded as a result of the rain.

Meanwhile, there is a slim chance there could be power outages in Lincolnshire over the course of the weekend.

The yellow warning was issued for much of the Midlands and southern England.

Both today and tomorrow temperatures are expected to hit highs of 27 ° C, but this will cool off as we head into the weekend and it starts to rain.
