Man, 63, hit with weapon and left with broken ribs as four men in hi-vis vests try to steal his dog
A dog handler was left with broken ribs, a black eye and cuts after being hit with a gun when four men tried to steal his pet.
The men, who wore safety vests, got out of a white van and approached the 63-year-old.
He resisted her attempts to take the dog away, and one of the perpetrators hit him with a gun before leaving the scene empty-handed.
The incident occurred on Monday, July 20, between 5 and 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Blows Lane and Wigtoft Road in Sutterton, Boston.
Detective Sergeant Simon Dovaston said, “This is a despicable insult to an elderly and vulnerable man who has fulfilled one of his joys in life.
