Lorry overturns at Skellingthorpe Roundabout, shedding fuel

Serious delays occurred in both directions on the A46 Lincoln Bypass.

A truck overturned near the intersection with the B1378 and spilled gasoline on the street.

The road took more than 12 hours to clear, but police confirmed that there were no serious injuries.

The crash occurred near the Skellingthorpe roundabout outside of Lincoln

A statement from Lincolnshire Police Department on Saturday June 12th said: “A truck overturned on the A46 at the Skellingthorpe roundabout.

“No serious injuries have been reported, but there are road closures as they are also near Lincoln Station after last night’s incident.

“Traffic is expected to be very busy, so please look for alternative routes if you can.”

Stagecoach also said the incident is causing delays on its routes.
