Women golfers are encouraged to register for a new event that will be held on a Lincolnshire course and elsewhere.

Women On The Tee was launched this month to provide competitive and fun opportunities for amateur golfers to complement existing club, county and national events.

Women can sign up individually, with friends, or as a group to enjoy the challenge of various courses across the country and meet like-minded players.

Membership is available through and is available for 2021 at the discounted price of £ 30.

The Women On The Tee membership competition schedule for 2021 includes: five one-day stroke games, one two-day event, four balls with better ball, and one day with stroke.

The flagship is the WPGA Ladies Pro Am on August 19th at Bowood Golf Club.

This is an all female Pro-Am with up to 28 teams playing for prizes. Professionals also compete in a single WPGA Order of Merit competition.

Another event will take place at Kenwick Park in Louth.

The Women On The Tee 2021 schedule is: Mill Ride GC, Berkshire, May 25; High Post GC, Wiltshire, June 28; Bromborough GC, Wirral, Aug 11; WPGA Ladies Pro Am, Bowood, Wiltshire, August 19th; Leamington and County GC, Warwickshire, September 15; Kenwick Park, Louth 29-30 September; South Staffordshire, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, 4th October.

Each event features prizes and Women on the Tee Order of Merit points for gross and net winners in two divisions – medium amateurs (aged 49 and younger) and seniors (aged 50 and older).

Everything is planned to make the tournaments as safe as possible. All competitions are governed by England Golf Play Safe guidelines. The entire administrator is digital and resides on the players’ phones, so there is no card exchange.

Women On The Tee Founder Julie Walker said, “Our goal is to create professional and well-organized events that make players feel like they are having an elite golfing experience.”
