Lincolnshire hospice partners with gin brand to raise funds for the charity

A charity is partnering with Lincolnshire-based Pin Gin brand for the second time to help launch their second collaborative gins’ Est. 1982 Flora ‘.

St. Barnabas Hospice, with a center on Barrowby Road and a department at Grantham Hospital, is hoping to raise much-needed funds after the difficult 12 months resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.

After the success of Est. 1982 Bramble, who raised money for the hospice Bottomley Distillers (home of the award-winning Pin Gin brand), a distillery based in Louth, Lincolnshire, has created a limited edition London dry gin with floral notes of pomegranate blossom and earth tones of fresh lavender.

Veronica McBain, Fundraising and Lottery Director, said, “We are very excited to be Pin Gins’ charity partner for the second year in a row, and this new gin launch will be a great way to raise funds for our essential ending. Life support.

“The partnership last year raised over £ 6,500 for our work and we are very excited about the launch of this new line of gins. Over £ 14 from each sale will be donated to the hospice. This is a great way not only to support a local business but also to raise much-needed funding. “

Bottomley Distillers is a family owned distillery with a heritage that dates back to the 1950s. The original founder, Mr Stansfield Bottomley, was a small whiskey maker that started out in West Yorkshire before moving to Lincolnshire in the early 1980s.

Alan Bottomley, his youngest son, has always been fascinated by spirit production. Inspired by this inherited skill and the rise of the craft market, he decided in 2016 to modernize these almost lost techniques.

Amy Conyard of Bottomley Distillers said, “We’re excited to be working with St. Barnabas again for the second year running in a local cause. All profits from the sale of this gin go directly to St. Barnabas Hospice and we hope this will ultimately result in a sizable donation that we can make to charity. “
