Starting April 13th, the Archives on St. Rumbold Street in Lincoln will reopen for pre-reservations on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, starting today (April 6th).

The archive takes care of church records, parish registers, wills, electoral registers, maps and plans, bad legal acts, title deeds and photos.

It also includes information on the many families, businesses, local government, lawyers, societies and schools that help create a fascinating record of Lincolnshire life.

Ron Frayne, collections manager at the archives, said: “During the lockdown, we had many inquiries about families in the county. We look forward to welcoming people back to help them find out more about their past.

“We will of course take additional hygiene and safety measures, including improved cleaning and social distancing measures.”
