Highland Fling for Scandi Paint Range

Nestled in the Perth and Kinross Scottish countryside, the Crieff Hydro Hotel is a premier family resort set on 900 acres. Dating back to 1868, the hotel has a rich history and is now owned by the fifth generation of Leckies. With 215 bedrooms, 55 self-catering cabins, lodges and cottages and over 30 outdoor activities, the resort is suitable for families of all types and sizes.

The resort’s properties have recently been repainted, the work has been carried out by Borthwick Decorators and products from the GORI range from PPG have been used.

David Borthwick, Managing Director at Borthwick Decorators said, “A lot of the booths have a brightly colored exterior finish, but management noticed that they looked a bit dull and tired. They got in touch with us to give the cabins a much-needed freshening up. “

David and the team chose GORI 99 Extreme Opaque Wood Finish. The opaque, microporous coating is formulated in such a way that it offers robust and permanent protection against mold, fungal attack and blue stain for up to 15 years.

To protect the cabins from the unpredictable Scottish weather, GORI 99 Extreme Opaque Wood Finish is also UV-resistant and water-repellent, reducing the risk of water damage.

The products in the GORI range are available in a wide range of colors, with shades of blue, green, red and brown being selected for this particular project.
