Fascinating video shows what happens when plastering goes high-tech

THIS machine could be the stroke of luck painful plasterers have wished for – as it can render an entire wall in a matter of minutes.

The device can apply an even layer of plaster to a wall with a solid mechanical trowel.

And it automatically positions itself on the surface to ensure the coating is accurate to the millimeter.

Manufacturers say some versions of the machine can render up to 2,150 square feet per hour – enough to make even the toughest worker blush.

And the plaster bot, which is manufactured by TUPO Machinery in China, can even be simply packaged and taken away at the end of the order.

But it’s not cheap – with the most expensive Tupo model going for up to £ 7,600.

A video of the machine in action was posted on the Twitter page of the Chinese newspaper People’s Daily today.

But while it can save plasterers some groundbreaking work, many fear it could leave them completely unemployed.
