Burst pipe causes properties to flood in Louth

A burst water main flooded properties in Louth tonight (Wednesday).

The Eastgate incident was tweeted by Lincolnshire police just after 9 p.m.

According to the news, they had been notified of the burst pipe and were also told that a number of properties had been flooded, LincolnshireLive reports.

It is not known at this point how many homes are affected.

In addition to the Lincolnshire Police on site, Anglian Water was also present to “help remedy the situation”.

The Lincolnshire Police Force Control Room tweeted: “We have received reports that a water pipe has burst in Eastgate, Louth. We have been informed that properties have been flooded [sic].

“Officers are en route and Anglian Water is aware of this. Incident 537 07/04/2021 ^ CD.

“Anglian Water is there now and is helping to improve the situation.”
