Armed police scrambled to Lincolnshire village

Lincolnshire Police were called in to conduct an armed robbery in Langtoft on Monday.

The incident took place on Meadow Road in the village, eight miles east of the town of Stamford.

Around 2:30 p.m., five people in black, who were believed to be traveling in an unknown vehicle, carried out a robbery.

Further details of the robbery are currently unknown.

A victim of the incident, who wishes to remain anonymous at the time, said: “I was parked at the passing point when a group of five teenagers, walking across the grass, jumped out in front of the car.

“Everyone was armed, they demanded that the doors be open, and they took the laptop that was in a bag in my passenger seat.”

The police were called on the spot immediately, and some officers with firearms were also present.

The road was temporarily closed.

The troop’s investigations are currently ongoing and no arrests have been made.

A statement from Lincolnshire Police Department said: “This (incident) was reported to us at 2:37 pm.

“Firearms officers were present and completed a search of the area.

“No arrests have been made at this point and the investigation is ongoing.”
