A New York-inspired bottomless brunch cocktail bar is opening in former city centre gym

A bottomless NYC style brunch experience comes to Brum.

Manahatta Bar and Grill has applied for planning permission to open on 10-12 Temple Stree and replace the Anarchy 45 gym. The short-lived fitness facility closed in 2019 after being open for less than a year.

It previously housed the Maplin store.

Manahatta already has successful offices in the north of the country – including Leeds, Manchester and Harrogate.

Described as a “glamorous New York-inspired cocktail bar,” it serves decadent bottomless brunch and light New York-style lunches during the day, followed by a more indulgent American-inspired menu in the evening.

In addition to a bottomless brunch menu, Manahatta also offers “bottomless parties” in the evening.

The bottomless brunch menu is available daily until 4:00 p.m. and offers a selection of drinks and a choice of seven dishes.

The bottomless drink selection includes Prosecco, Bloody Mary, Aperol Spritz and Orchard Apple Spritz. On the brunch menu, choose from breakfast hash – bacon, chorizo, poached eggs, onions, diced potatoes, avocado, spinach, chipotle ketchup, and High Line – buttermilk pancakes with fried chicken, bacon, and maple syrup.

Additional lunch-style dishes on the bottomless brunch menu include all American hot dogs with fries and laden sticky beef nachos.

The bottomless party menu is served from 4 p.m. and offers food and unlimited drink options in the evenings.

Choose from drinks such as Easy Lover – vodka, elderflower liqueur, passion fruit, lemon, prosecco and Sailors Punch – spicy rum, Caribbean pineapple liqueur, ginger, maple syrup, lime and pineapple on the cocktail menu.

Judging by the decor of the other venues, the Brummies are a treat. The Manahatta Manchester office features parquet floors, glazed tiles, street art murals, neon signs, brightly colored leather cubicles and soft velvet seats.

Even the toilets are ultra-glamorous, with gold chandeliers and chaise longues in the ladies’ rooms.
